Piranha sisters

Three sisters at their mother’s burial site in her family mausoleum. 

Talk to me about dad only when he is dead. 

I took a picture of myself when we landed.

This faraway place where my parents dropped me off at age eight to live without them for over a year.

As a young girl, I got hurt here.

So why am I coming back?

This is the place my mother wanted to be buried with her family.

When she was a child, her parents sent her away from here. When I was a child, my parents left me here.

When she died, our father brought her back to be buried.

Then he started up with young women.

My mother’s brothers banished him from the family mausoleum.

He took her ashes somewhere else so they could be buried together

Even in death, he kept her out. Still bound. 

Now that he has died,
my sisters free her.  

They return her ashes to fulfill her wishes
and to tell the truth about him.

I came to make this movie.

To free myself.
